Fast forward to 2021, and their dedication bore fruit as Altitude Tours was crowned by TripAdvisor as the world’s best wine tour. Expanding beyond wine, Altitude Tours evolved into a multifaceted venture, offering sightseeing and tasting tours encompassing wine, beer, and spirits. What began with a single van and guide has flourished into a company annually transporting over 30,000 passengers to 8+ destinations, solidifying its position as Queenstown’s premier small-group day tour company. Their accolades, including the New Zealand Tourism Innovation Award and New Zealand Tourism Customer Experience Award, underscore their unwavering commitment to excellence.
With an eye towards growth, Nigel and Heidi acquired Black NZ from Andrew Brinsley in 2019, followed by the recent acquisition of Fiordland Tours and Fiordland Walks, laying the foundation for the birth of TIG. Andrew Brinsley and other individuals who have achieved significant business success remain integral members of TIG’s advisory board. As a parent company encompassing existing and future brands, TIG embodies a commitment to innovation and integrity.
